Camp Newayo, 1917

Scenes include "Mess Time," "First Aid," footage of horsemanship exercises; target practice with pistols and rifles; a "Runaway and Rescue" demonstration of a runaway horse and cart captured by a Trooper on horseback; and short narrative entitled "Handling a Holdup," in which a couple are carjacked by a pair of thieves on a rural road. The film shows the proper sequence of events that should take place in the event of such a crime. The reel ends with a joke. The intertitle reads "Troopers being familiar with the country make good directors." The next shot shows a New York State Police officer offering directions to a pedestrian.
