Flyer - Sachem Quality of Life "A Day of Truth" Conference, 8/4-5/01

Sachem Quality of Life's flyer announcing a two-day conference entitled, "A Day of Truth," and inviting readers to meet with "national . . . experts on the impact of illegal immigration." Topics under discussion included the demographics and politics of immigration, "Immigration and Minorities" and grassroots organizing. According to its statement of philosophy and mission, Sachem Quality of Life was founded as a response to "government, by their action and/or inaction, [having] allowed the quality of life in our Brookhaven communities to disintegrate by allowing 'open air' hiring halls on our streets and overcrowded slum housing to propagate in our communities."
