Cuban-born Roman Valdes (1962- ) is a self-taught painter and muralist. The Long Island Puppet Theater and Museum was the creation of Valdes and his wife Eliza, showcasing a unique, handcrafted stage set, and hundreds of puppets designed and made by the couple.
