Robert Garcia (1962-1993) devoted the greater part of his life to political activism, chiefly in the areas of race and sexuality. Garcia played a leadership role in New York City's ACT UP Latino Caucus, and was active in a variety of other organizations, including Men of All Colors Together and Voices of Color Against AIDS and for Life (VOCAL).
