Luna Island & American Falls, Winter

View of the Niagara River at the American Falls in the winter. In the foreground, snow covers an observation point on Luna Island. Beyond the observation point, the Niagara River cascades over the falls. Across the river, buildings and a tower are visible among the trees, and smoke is thick in the air. To the left, a suspension bridge known as the Falls View Bridge crosses the river between the United States and Canada. The bridge was later replaced by the Upper Steel Arch Bridge, which was completed in 1898.
