Map of settlements of the Indians, October 1799

Hand drawn map of land divided into lots with many survey notations. Map was drawn pursuant to directions of Simeon DeWitt, Esquire Surveyor General. Also on the map, a run of the easterly line of the western tier of lots in Brother Town. Laid out for the white inhabitants, beginning at the Oriskana Creek where it crossed the line of division between said inhabitants. By Charles Brodhead, Deputy Surveyor. Scale of 30 chains to an inch. Original map size 24” x 32”.
