Erie Canal Survey, Watervliet showing Watervliet Turnpike and Port Schuyler

This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Watervliet. The map is split into two views. The first view shows the Hudson River, a private canal, three bridges, forty-nine buildings, Berlin Street, Albany Street, Mansion Street, Salem Street, Watervliet Turnpike, Spring Street and Middle Street. The second view shows the Hudson River, Port Schuyler, two bridges, seven buildings, South Street, Canal Street, Boston Street and Water Street. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of P. Schuyler.
