This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Champlain Canal in Stillwater. The map is split into two views. The first view shows the Hudson River, a bridge, seven buildings and the Road to Halfmoon. The second view shows the Hudson River, three bridges, fifteen buildings and the Road to Mechanicsville and Halfmoon. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Stephen Van Rensselaer Jr., A.G. Lansing, Joseph Brown, E. Andrews, James Thompson and James Deaver.
