Erie Canal Survey, Rome showing Wescott and Wood Creek

This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Rome. It shows a stream that feeds into the canal, Wood Creek, a saw mill and the Oswego Turnpike. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of John Wescott, Samuel and Jas Ferguson, the Heirs of William Holley and Lot No. 4, 5 and 6.
