Upper Rio Branco, Brazil

A group of about seven Brazilian workers in Upper Rio Branco are carrying crates and balls of rubber to a boat. The young men are barefoot, standing on grass, with plants in the background. At the time of the photograph, Brazil was a major source of the world’s rubber supply, (1915).
