Women in white caps and full skirts making sabots, or wooden shoes, in Clohars-Carnoet, France. A high stone wall is on the left, and a hut made of sticks with a thatched roof is in the background. Several log tables and numerous finished sabots are in the background, and a basket of finished shoes is in the center. Several children, including a baby, are seated and holding sabots. One man watches the proceedings, while three others work at the shoemaking process. All are wearing traditional Breton dress, (1906).
