Normandy, France - Farm Scene

A farm in Normandy, France. In front of a stone barn with a thatched roof, men and women thresh crops with flails, while groups of peasant women and children in traditional dress stand in front of a stone wall. The barn has a door and a very small window, and the rear and front walls are both pentagonal, reaching a high apex at the top. A group of six men and women stand in front of the barn, threshing wheat with flails. Three women stand in front of the stone wall with five children, one being held in the arms of a woman, (1906).
