The Borinquen Dance Company, founded by Nydia Padilla-Rodriguez in 1981, promotes contemporary Latino dance and Puerto Rican culture. The Borinquen troupe was dance company-in-residence at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance, Eastman School of Music, until its incorporation as a nonprofit institution in 2002.
