Dinkelsbühl, Germany

A frontal view of the Deutsches Haus, a 17th century inn in Dinkelsbühl, Germany. Originally built in 1440, Deutshes Haus was significantly renovated and expanded around 1600, and it was at this time that elaborate carvings depicting Roman gods and other figures were created. Deutshes Haus is a half-timbered structure, which means that while wooden beams provide support and shape to the house, the walls are primarily made of other substances, such as brick or plaster, (1927).
