Page one of a letter addressed to John A. Thomson regarding the building of an 80ft. horse boat from James Rodgers and Moses Kinyon of Albany. The Thomson family operated several ferries at Catskill, which ran up and down the Hudson River, including boats powered by horse driven paddle wheels (horse boats).
