Deposition of Egbert van Borsum as to derogatory remarks made by Cornelis Melyn about Director Stuyvesant

Declaration. Egbert van Borsum, that Cornelis Mellyn had said at New Haven, that the states general were greatly surprised that the English had not hanged Stuyvesant to the highest tree; that he (M.) had brought Kieft to his churchyard, and would bring Stuyvesant to his, also. [1649]
