Mount Beacon from west shore

View of Mount Beacon from the west shore of the Hudson River. Across the river, the town of Beacon is visible through the trees at the foot of Mount Beacon. During the Revolutionary War, militia were directed to light fires on Mt. Beacon if British were spotted advancing up the Hudson River.
