View of "Montgomery Camp," somewhere in the Whitney Preserve, likely near Little Tupper Lake in Long Lake, Hamilton County in the Adirondack Mountains. Four buildings are visible, and two or three men can be seen with a horse-drawn sled. The date is unrecorded, but probably ca. 1901-1920. This image was created to record the forestry activities of the New York State Forest, Fish, and Game Commission, Conservation Commission, or Conservation Department.
