Sketch of Ft. Crailo Restoration

Drawing of Fort Crailo, a Dutch-era house in Rensselaer, Rensselaer County. The house is famous for being the site where an early version of "Yankee Doodle Dandy" was composed by Richard Schuckburg, a British army surgeon during the French and Indian War. The date of the drawing is unrecorded, but likely ca. 1900-1920. This image was created to record the historic sites activities of the New York State Forest, Fish and Game Commission, Conservation Commission, or Conservation Department.
