Spiers Falls Power Dam in Glens Falls, New York, 1938

The Spiers Falls Power Dam in Glens Falls, New York. The dam was built between 1900 and 1903. It was the fourth largest dam in the world, and the largest to generate electric power. About 1,700 people worked on the dam, mostly Italian immigrants. The dam is still in operation today.
