Articles of agreement between William Shephard and Robert W. Leake, 1774

Articles of agreement between William Shephard and Robert W. Leake regarding land in Pittstown, N.Y. One section of the lower-left part of the agreement is damaged and missing. Leake purchased the use of land for farming in Pittstown from Sheppard for eighty pounds sterling. On side two, "the parties...bind each to the other in the sum of three-hundred pounds money of New York." Side two contains both men's signatures.
