Letter from Robert W. Leake to John G. Leake, 1774

A letter from Robert W. Leake to John Leake regarding family matters and land transactions. In the letter, Robert Leake disputed owing his brother money. On side two, Robert Leake discussed a tract of land that he estimated to be worth £70. Side three contains a postscript where Robert explained to his brother that rain had prevented him from making a planned journey the previous Monday. On side four, he thanked John for a painting and also expresses relief that John had not been persuaded to make a land purchase from a Mr. Clarke.
