Copy of a legislative act, 1780

A copy of the "Act for the immediate sale of part of the forfeited estates." The act cited the need to compensate soldiers of New York with the seized land as the impetus for the act. Part two, side one stated that the commissioners would be required to report land sales to the Legislature and to inform them of any "impediments that may arise". Part two, side two contains only the document's original label.
