Affidavit from Milwaukee County, Wisconsin for John Hunt

Two affidavits: the first signed by William W. Shurtliff, verifying the service of John Hunt in the First Regiment of New York Volunteers during the Mexican War; the second signed by John Hunt, also verifying his service and providing his address. Affidavits certified by notary public Joseph Wrenn. Also included: a letter to the New York State Comptroller from John Hunt, indicating that he had enclosed his application for money for his service in the Mexican War.
