List of non-certified Mexican War veterans signed by A.P. Nichols

List of the surviving members of the First Regiment of New York Volunteers who had not yet been issued certificates for their action during the Mexican War. The names included were: John Adams, David W. Carey, John Dick, Francis Dunning, John Farren, William Forry, Harvey Lake, William McIntyre, Henry Rogers, David Scannell, Charles H. Sherwood, and Benjamin F. Wheeler. The list was signed by New York State Comptroller A.P. Nichols and Governor John Hoffman.
