It shows the Chenango River which splits into three channels, an unidentified stream that connects to the canal, a wide basin, Lock No. 86, a bridge, seven buildings and two unidentified roads that meet to form a T. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of John Copeland, Asa Foote, David Elmore, Philo Robinson, A. Lord and William Newton.
