This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Palmyra. It shows the Town of Palmyra, a series of small basins and elongated canal areas, Mud Creek which branches into two streams, two bridges and four buildings. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Ingersoll, William M. Howell, H. Jessup, Widow Lobdon, Miss Partial and Butler Newton.
