Patent of George Bacxter, Richard Clof and associates of land on Long Island

Patent. George Bacxter, Richard Clof and associates ; tract of land named Canarise, on the south side of Long Island, with all the valleys thereunto belonging, on condition that they shall, within three years from date, settle twenty families thereon; this tract began at a certain cross path from the hook of Wolphert Gerritsz valley, which path ran to Corlear's flatt, thence east and north so far as a fresh kill at the east side of Canarise runs, and thence straight to the sea.
