Clara Barton forest

An unidentified man inspects 3-year-old pine trees at the Clara Barton Forest in Franklin County, N.Y. The 10 acre forest was planted in 1925 along the highway from Lake Clear to Saranac Lake in honor of Clara Barton, suffragist and principal organizer of the American Red Cross. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
