Reforesting tour

A caravan of visitors drive past a sign reading "State Forest Plantation, Scotch pine, planted 1909" on their way to a Scotch Pine (Pinus sylvestris) forest during a conservation reforestation tour. The State began offering public tours of its lands in 1924 in order to educate the public about the importance of conservation. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
