Reforesting tour

Visitors park their cars in a field near a Norway Spruce (Picea abies) plantation during a reforestation tour in Ray Brook, N.Y. The State began to give tours of its lands in 1924 in order to educate the public about the importance of conservation. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
