Newspaper clipping entitled "Negro School in Hillburn Closed by Order of State Education Head," reporting on the ruling of New York State Education Commissioner George D. Stoddard to integrate white and black students in Hillburn, NY schools. More specifically, the order would close the Brook School, which had substandard facilities and which African-American children had attended, and send those children to the Main School alongside white students.
