White pine plantation, Livingston County

A plantation of young White Pines (Pinus strobus) in Livingston County. White pines were favored by the Civilian Conservation Corps for their fast growth and ability to shade slower growing hardwoods. This image was created to record the reforestation work of the Civilian Conservation Corps under the supervision of the New York State Conservation Department.
