CCC worker fighting underground fire, Oneida County

A worker from the Civilian Conservation Corps saturates the ground with a power hose in order to fight an underground fire. Wisps of smoke can be seen leaking up through the ground in the middle of the image. This image was created to record the reforestation work of the Civilian Conservation Corps under the supervision of the New York State Conservation Department.
