Pine seedlings in reforestation area

This stark, flat area is being reforested at the hands of "Roosevelt's Tree Army," the Civilian Conservation Corps. The seedlings that dot the area are likely either white or red pines, favored by the CCC for their fast growth. This image was created to record the reforestation work of the Civilian Conservation Corps under the supervision of the New York State Conservation Department.
