Syracuse State Fair Exhibit

View of a sign advertising the planting of trees on idle land on display at the 1933 State Fair in Syracuse, N.Y. According to the sign, the State will give young pine trees for free to municipalities and them to private land owners at a cost of $2 to $5 for 1000. This program had been in effect since 1908, and the Department advertised it extensively. This image was created to record the public education efforts of the Conservation Department.
