New York City Hearings – April 17, 1972 (Afternoon). Low audio quality. Recording of WRVR journalist Dan Mack summarizing Lanny D. Boone’s testimony. David Addison examines Chris Mayers, an inmate at Attica during the uprising who was subsequently transferred to Sing Sing. Mayer describes the differences between Attica and Sing Sing, and his experiences at Attica during the uprising. Follow-up questions are asked by Commission members Henix, Carter, Marshall, Broderick, and Guerrero. Mayer gives a final statement. General Counsel Arthur Liman, Carter, and Marshall discuss the perceptions of the testimony. Steven Rosenfeld presents a film reconstructing the events of the uprising. Attica Correctional Facility Sergeant Jack English testifies about events on September 9th.
