New York City Hearings – April 18, 1972 (Morning). Recording continues General Counsel Arthur Liman examining Lieutenant Richard Maroney, correction officer at Attica during the uprising. He discusses his experiences during the uprising, his handling of the fight between inmates on September 8, 1971, and the events that followed. The session is recessed for lunch. WRVR journalist Dan Mack summarizes the morning session. WRVR journalist Arthur Albert discusses the morning proceedings with a former inmate and a member of the Fortune Society.
