Recording begins with WRVR journalists Arthur Albert and Dan Mack talking to guests about the hearings and taking listener phone calls. Chairman Robert McKay introduces the afternoon hearings. Steven Rosenfeld gives an analysis of 1280 inmates in D-yard. McKay interrupts to recess for a bomb threat. Commissioner Guerrero makes a statement about Puerto Rican inmates. McKay, Henix, Willis, and Addison each make a statement about Richard Clark’s statement to the press after the morning’s hearings. Rosenfeld examines Charles Ray Carpenter, an inmate at Attica.
