Confirmation of letters patent issued to Anna d'Angola

Confirmation by the New York provincial government of original Dutch letters patent that were issued on February 8, 1647 to Anna d'Angola, widow of Andries, for land in Manhattan. Anna was a Black woman and one of the first Black women to own land in North America.
