Rockefeller with P.R. Coordination Commission

Shown here is Governor Rockefeller meeting with the Puerto Rican Coordinating Commission in Albany. This group met with the Governor to present the positions of Hispanic citizens in New York on the budget, health, and personnel cuts.

Some members are wearing black arm bands. According to the group, this was because it "believes budget cuts represent a slow death sentence for the disenfranchised of our state, who are unable to defend themselves in this present era of inflation."

Some members of the group were Garcia, Velez, Munoz, Douglass, Ramos, Agenor Castro, and Ann Whitman. Mr. Castro and Mr. Velez spoke at the meeting for the whole group.
