Court proceedings. William de Key vs. Nicolaes Coorn, for damages in firing on Govert Loockerman's vessel when passing Beeren island ; defendant pleads the authority of patroon Renselaer, which he is ordered to prove (see Vol. 2. p. ...). Jochem Kierstede vs. Isaac Allerton, for the surrender of the indenture of Lewis Hulet's servant ; case postponed. [1644]

Court proceedings. Symon Dircksen Pos, appellant, Adriaen van der Dock, respondent, in appeal from a judgment of the court of Renselaerswyck in a case of slander ; judgment of the court below confirmed, with costs, and appellant fined 10 guilders towards building the church. Jochem Kierstede ads. Isaac Allerton, for the discharge of James Bier ; ordered, that Louis Hulet prove that James Bier is his servant. (See supra, 204.) William Nikey, attorney for Govert Loockerman, vs. Nicolas Coorn, of Renselaerswyck, for damage to the plaintiff's sloop ; judgment for plaintiff ; damages to be assessed, and judgment to be approved by patroon Van Renselaer, meanwhile, defendant not to leave New Netherland (see Vol. 2, pp. 100, 117, 129). Symon Dirckson Pos vs. Adriaen van der Donck, in case of attachment ; judgment for defendant for amount of his interest in the above decree in appeal. [1644]
