Court proceedings. Claes van Elsland, attorney of Wouter van Twiller, vs. Sybolt Claesen, husband of Aert Teunissen van Patten's widow, action of debt ; upon examination of the claim and defense, the matter is referred back to Mr. Van Twiller for further explanation. [1646]

Court proceedings. Oloff Stevensen (van Cortland) vs. rev. Everardus Bogardus, slander ; defendant to prove allegations contained in his answer this day to plaintiff's complaint. [1646]

Court proceedings. Thomas Baxter vs. John Wilcocx, slander, in accusing plaintiff of stealing wood ; defendant ordered to prove his assertion. Teunis Nyssen vs. Jeuriaen Fradel, for payment of a debt due by defendant's wife to the estate of the late John Celes ; settled, on condition of Fradel giving plaintiff his house and lot on the highway, at the Manhattans, and a healthy cow, within a year. [1646]

Order. On the answer of rev. Everardus Bogardus, to furnish whatever else he has to object against the witnesses, or in his defense, with his reasons for denouncing the director and council from the pulpit, and not obeying their order. [1646]
