Sentence. Jonas Jonassen, a soldier, for robbing Indians, to be stripped of his arms and afterwards publicly whipped, and then chained to a wheelbarrow and put to hard labor, during the pleasure of the director and council. [1648] (page 363)

Sentence. James Hallet, for leaving the province without a pass, enticing Adriaen Dircksen's servant girl to accompany him, and committing theft at Greenwich, to be conveyed to the place of execution and there witness the infliction of such punishment as will there be inflicted ; to saw wood for the company during 12 months, and to be remanded to prison every evening unless he give bail not to run away. Pardon. Of William Gerritsen (sic), an Englishman, guilty of fornication with Maria Barents, on condition that he saw firewood one year for the company (see supra p. 362.) [1648] (page 364)

Appointment. Sinneke Jacobs to be skipper of the yacht Prince William. [1648] (page 364)
