Receipt for Canajoharie and Catskill Railroad stock

Receipt for shares purchased by John A. Thomson in the Canajoharie and Catskill Railroad. The Railroad was chartered in 1828 as the Catskill & Ithaca Railroad and was to run inland from the village of Catskill toward Ithaca, but reached only as far as Cooksburg. The line was abandoned in 1842 and scrapped.
