Two page letter from Wnykoop Kiersted to John Kiersted Jr. regarding land obtained at tax sales and details the effects of a heavy rain on local bridges, sawmills, booms and dams and the flooding of the Delaware River. The dam used to power Wnykoops tannery in the Mongaup Valley in the Catskill Mountains was damaged.
