Au Sable [sic] Chasm, down from Hell Gate-Jacob's Ladder (right)

The Ausable River rushes through the narrow Ausable Chasm in the Adirondack Mountains. Evergreen trees grow on top of the high, rocky walls of the gorge. On the left, a trail built into the side of the cliff leads to a ladder ascending up the face of the rock.
