N.Y. Johnstown. Revolutionary Battlefield

Revolutionary Battlefield in Johnstown, New York. Plaque imbedded in stone and probably a flagpole, at the side of a dirt road, mark the site of the last battle of the Revolutionary War, fought October 25, 1781, six days after General Cornwallis surrendered to General George Washington in Yorktown, Virginia. A fence, tree, and farmhouse can be seen along the road and hilly fields in the distance.
