Washington Bridge, High Bridge & Speedway in New York City

View of the Washington Bridge over the Harlem River and the Harlem River Speedway in New York City. The speedway was a two-and-one-half-mile dirt road that ran from West 155th Street to West 208th Street and was used as a racetrack and exercise track for horses. In the image, spectators stand alongside the road watching a line of horses pulling lightweight carts.
