Old Lumber Camp Used as Lodge for Fire Fighters on McKenzie Pond

View of four men in a former logging camp that has been converted into lodgings for firefighters at McKenzie Pond in North Elba, Essex County in the Adirondack Mountains. The village of Saranac Lake lies about one mile to the west. The date is unknown, but likely ca. 1900-1910 judging by the men's clothes. This image was likely created to record the fire control activities of the New York State Forest, Fish and Game Commission.
